Parents' Website

This website gives my parents a simple way to see what’s happening in my life at any time.

This project began as an assignment to create a personal website for our parents. At first, I treated it like a traditional portfolio and focused on a professional and formal presentation. However, my family was not very interested in my work. What they cared about most was whether I was happy, healthy, and eating well.

At first glance, this project appears to be a way for my parents to better understand my life. However, through the design process, I also gained a deeper understanding of my family. Their feedback reminded me how much they value my well-being over academic or career achievements. I am deeply grateful for their constant support and for the freedom they have given me to grow without pressure.

I designed a Chinese version specifically for my grandparents and my father so they could better understand what I wanted to share.

The website mainly features photos of food and everyday activities. After talking carefully with my family, I realized that what they truly care about is whether I am happy, eating well, and taking good care of myself while living abroad.
